Dental Veneers
Vancouver, WA
A Dental Veneer is a thin piece of durable porcelain. It is shaped to fit your tooth, or the shape you want your tooth to have. Dr. Alder bonds the veneer onto the face of the tooth providing you a look of perfection. Our patients love veneers because they can completely change the look of your teeth and your smile. We can use veneers as an alternative to dental crowns or caps, making them the ideal solution in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for your front teeth. As with most dental restorations, veneers will need replacement but should last many years, they are very durable.
As with most dental restorations, veneers may someday need replacement; however, they are still very durable and will last many years, giving you a long-lasting, beautiful smile.
Our patients come to us for veneers because:
• | They want a clean, uniform look |
• | There are gaps |
• | A tooth is chipped |
• | A tooth is crooked |
• | A tooth is longer or shorter then the others |
• | A tooth is badly stained |
What is the process for getting porcelain veneers?
Dental veneers require at least two office visits to complete. Your teeth are prepared to allow for the thickness of the veneer. Dr. Alder will need to permanently alter the natural tooth for this process. He will shape the natural structure in an irreversible way. Next, a mold of your teeth will be taken and together, you and Dr. Alder will select a color to match your other teeth.
Custom Veneer Placement
At your second office visit your teeth will be cleansed with a specialized cleaner helping your tooth and veneer achieve a durable bond. Bonding cement is then placed between the tooth and veneer and a blue light beam is used to harden and set the bond. You will receive care instructions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new and beautiful veneers.
We would love to help you dramatically change the look of your teeth with this simple procedure. For more information on dental veneers, contact Brian Alder, DDS, at our Vancouver, WA office for more information. (360) 831-0831
