Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year or more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine.
Why do patients come to us for teeth whitening?
|To remove streaks from flourosis
|Stains from daily use
|Stains due to specific medications
|Yellowed teeth or brown stains from coffee or smoking
What does tooth whitening involve?
At Home Teeth Whitening with the assistance of Dr. Alder usually requires two office visits. At your first appointment we will create customized trays that will fit comfortably, then together, we will determine the starting shade of your teeth so we can monitor your progress. Dr. Alder will prescribe the peroxide solution he feels is best for you. With your whitening tools in hand, you will wear the trays daily for the prescribed amount of time and number of days.
